박비주는 동시대를 살아가는 이들의 피로와 고통, 그리고 그 너머의 회복을 주제로 작업한다. 그의 작업은 개인적 경험에서 출발하지만, 결국 우리 모두가 공유하는 시대의 증상과 정서로 확장된다. 그의 회화 속에 등장하는 알약, 음식, 빨래와 같은 오브제들은 은유적 장치로, 각기 다른 시리즈 속에서 시대의 피로, 자본의 구조, 소모된 존재를 상징한다.
박비주는 사회적 현실을 직시하며, 그 현실을 만들어가는 이들—그리고 이를 향유하는 이들—이 마주해야 할 질문을 던진다. 그리고 그 질문의 해답을 모색하는 장치로 최근 〈코스모 런드리〉를 선보였다. 이 대안적 공간은 상처 입은 존재들이 잠시 머물러 치유와 회복을 경험하는 곳으로, 그는 관객이 그 속에서 오래된 상처를 마주하고 치유의 순간을 맞이하길 바란다.

Biju Park is an artist whose work addresses the fatigue and pain of contemporary life, as well as the possibility of recovery beyond them.
Her practice begins with personal experience but ultimately expands to encompass the shared symptoms and emotions of our time. The recurring objects in her paintings—pills, food, and laundry—serve as metaphoric devices, each symbolizing the era’s fatigue, the structures of capitalism, and the condition of being worn down.
Park confronts social realities, posing questions that must be faced by both those who shape these conditions and those who partake in them. As a means of exploring possible answers, she recently presented Cosmo Laundry, an alternative space where wounded beings can pause to experience healing and restoration. She hopes visitors will encounter their long-buried wounds within this space and embrace moments of renewal.
Through her art, Park continues to reveal and cleanse the wounds of life, offering renewed strength to live on.
